Rite of Passage: Threshold Photography

Work with Me

Astrology-inspired portraits for every threshold: graduating seniors, new mothers, midlife reinvention, and anyone stepping into a new chapter. Your soul blueprint, woven into every frame, through ritual, beauty, and soul expression.

Your Destiny Embodied

This is not a traditional portrait session. It's a sacred, creative journey, one that begins with an astrological natal blueprint reading, held before your photo session, where we uncover the symbols and archetypes of your soul identity and gain invaluable insight into this threshold in your life.

From there, I guide you through wardrobe choices and create a custom inspiration board, so every detail of your shoot reflects your chart and your story.

Then, on the day of our session, we begin with an on-site ritual, setting intention and inviting presence, before stepping into a fine art photo shoot designed to embody your chart through light, location, and the way you move.

Every image becomes a reflection of who you are now, and who you are becoming.

About Carolee

Carolee has been creating behind the camera for over 25 years, first discovering her love of photography in her high school darkroom. Her path led her through a Specialized Associates in Studio Photography, a Fine Art degree with an emphasis in Photography, and an internship with a fashion photographer in Manhattan, experiences that shaped her eye for presence, beauty, and narrative. She has also traveled widely, photographing people and the human experience as a central part of her work.

For seven years, Carolee taught photography at the university level, refining her ability to translate the art and craft of image-making into something grounded, accessible, and meaningful. Portraiture and storytelling remain her truest mediums, images that reveal depth, tenderness, and the clarity of becoming.

Alongside her technical and artistic training, Carolee is also a ritualist. Her sessions are intentionally crafted to honor the sovereignty of the person before the lens. Together, she and her clients explore their natal blueprint and translate its archetypes into imagery their future selves will recognize.

"Coming into this experience felt both exciting and nerve-wracking since I'd never done a photoshoot before, but the astrology reading beforehand helped me feel grounded and seen. The moment I stepped onto Carolee's magical property, I relaxed into myself. She created an atmosphere where I could truly be me, complete with a playlist based on my birth chart. The photos are beyond-this-world beautiful, but more than that, the whole experience left a meaningful impression I'll carry forever. If you're considering this, I'd say do it 100%."

Mel, Class of 2026

"It was incredibly illuminating to learn the astrology of my daughter, and Carolee's reading was so accurate that it felt like she had known Mel for years. Every image she curated for inspiration was based on Mel's prominent planets and temperament, which made the session feel deeply personal. When we arrived at her nature sanctuary with the river, the fields, and the canyon, she welcomed us with a grounding ceremony that helped all of us settle in. With a playlist created through her intuition and care, filled with songs that happened to be some of Mel's favorites, Carolee held space for my daughter to step into her own light. What Carolee gave us is beyond any price. The photos are beautiful, but the experience felt like a rite of passage, a soul unveiling for Mel in every sense of the word."
